Sim XPD – X-Plane Dedicated
From: £1,006.99
The Wired2Fire Sim XPD (X-Plane Dedicated) is the result of a collaboration with the UKs premier X-Plane youtube channel, X-Plane Dedicated! An X-Plane optimised flight sim PC.
Together, we’ve created a high end system, specifically designed to get you the best possible performance in X-Plane without stretching your budget too far.
- RTX 2070 Super Graphics
- Intel Core i5 9600K
- 16 GB 2400MHz DDR4
- Samsung 500GB 860 EVO Solid State Drive
The Pinnacle in X-Plane Performance
The Sim XPD was designed from the ground up for maximum X-Plane performance at a minimal cost. From hours of testing and flying we have worked in conjunction with the guys over at X-Plane Dedicated to create something designed from the ground up to offer the most optimised setup for X-Plane 11
The key to this is a powerful nVidia RTX 2070 Super graphics card and an overclocked Intel Core i5 processor. This is what really makes the biggest difference to your frame rates. Stuttering over the skys of London is not an option with the Sim XPD.
These core components are universal across all flight sims. However, your specific requirements may benefit from some modifications to the standard Sim X-15 to ensure the absolute best value for you. Feel free to contact us so we can advise on exactly what configuration would suit you best.

Performance Details
In all modern simulators, when pushing hardware to its limit, the graphics card is the single most important component. Investing in the most powerful you can afford, really will make your flying experience so much more immersive. Whilst nearly all the major simulators currently use the older OpenGL graphics engine, many are moving over to the Vulkan API, which offers far better performance and will make the graphics card an even bigger influence on performance. The nVidia RTX 2080 Super offers an extremely powerful option, it’s benefits will be obvious, once you turn those graphics settings up!
The CPU is still a crucial component to flight simulator performance (usually the bottleneck at all but the highest settings). Generally, flight sims are less well optimised for multi-core CPUs, but the higher clock speed and larger the onboard memory cache the better the performance will be. We overclock the CPU to squeeze every last drop from the powerful Intel Core i5.
As standard, the XPD has 16GB of fast system memory, this is more than enough for most situations. If you are running a memory hungry app in the background then you might find an upgrade to 32GB will improve performance slightly.
Display Resolution
The value of the Sim X-15 can only really be demonstrated when using it for more demanding 4K, multi-screen or VR setups. In all instances, the graphics card is having to draw more pixels so placing more demand on your graphics hardware.
As long as you are sensible with your settings, the Sim X-15 will provide incredible visuals running at very smooth frame rates. It creates the most realistic simulation possible.
The Sim X-15 can support up to 3 surround displays and 1 accessory display. Adding a second graphics card will increase this to 5 surround displays and 1 accessory display.

Connectivity
The Wired2Fire Sim X-15 is equipped with plenty of USB ports. We’ve ensured that all your joysticks, instruments and switch panels can be connected with a 5 x USB 3 ports, 1 USB-C and 2 x USB 2 ports on the back with an additional 2 x USB 3 ports on the front.
